This tallow is hard at room temp and will start to soften at 80 degrees Fahrenheit.  It needs to be stored in a cool dry place away from light and humidity.  Do not refrigerate.  You can freeze but once unfrozen needs to be stored as mentioned above and used within a month. 

This Tallow is sourced from local farmers in Prince Edward County, Ontario Canada. The cattle here have the most beautiful fat from the long cold winters as it grows on them in mass to keep them warm in our long winters.

You won’t find better tallow for making skincare products, soaps, hair care or cooking.

The tallow is meticulously cleaned of all meat and tendons before rendering so it is not rendered in a way that takes on meaty scents and flavors.  All tallow that I sell has been DRY rendered, no water or salt added.  Dry rendering ensures the tallow is shelf stable and does not require refrigeration.

This tallow sets up solid at room temp which makes it the perfect tallow.  Comes double strained and is Rendered at low heats to retain enzymes, minerals & nutrients in the fat that are then transferred into your products or diet.  

Tallow is shipped in glass 500ml mason jars, packed securely in order reduce the risk of breakage during shipping.

All my tallow is made in small batches by hand in my workshop.  And DOES NOT HAVE preservatives.

Please be advised that my tallow is NOT made ahead of time and sitting around waiting for it to be sold.  It is MADE TO ORDER.  Glass containers are good for years if kept in cool dark place, once opened will keep months if lid kept on tight and away from humidity.  Please make sure utensils used to scoop out tallow need to be clean and dry and not leaving any moisture behind in tallow.
